November 2003 What the beer critics say about Bennetts Lager; Bennett’s Wellington Lager pours a rich golden colour beneath a fluffy, bright, white head. The beer’s candyish aroma includes biscuity malt notes, grassy hops, some estery fruitiness and a hint of sweetcorn. Medium bodied with a firm, spritzy mouthfeel, the beer offers a pleasant combination of sweet malt and savoury, toasty notes and a drying, hoppy finish that is worthy of a classy European Pilsener. A fine all-malt lager that is equally appropriate for everyday drinking or paired with spicy Asian cuisine.
