Current Work
A large portion of the early part of 2012 was taken up with a trip to Europe where I had the opportunity to visited many art galleries and museums, eat great food and immersed myself in the local culture.
I did however complete three major toast art works, all based on the patterns one finds in “Kete”-Maori woven flax baskets.
I was pleased to incorporate in toast, the indigenous culture of the place of my birth and where I chose to live. Something which I have strived to achieve, all my artistic career.
The latest Toast Art Works, have been a series of Faces and Skulls constructed using toast, but not whole slices, I have used Soldiers or slices of toast. This has taken me on a whole new journey
